Security

We encourage our users to take all the security measures suggested below, as well as any other organisational and/or personal security measures available to you.

Account Security

It is important that you also take certain precautions to ensure that you are the only person with access to your Vula account. Maintain adequate security and control over your Vula Account sign-in details, including the use of strong passwords, ensuring that passwords are not written down or saved anywhere unencrypted, and by not sharing your Vula Account sign-in details with other individuals.

Should you need assistance recovering your Vula Account, please contact our support team at support@vulamobile.com

Access control

Should members of your team with Vula Accounts leave, retire or are no longer with the practice, please advise us via email at support@vulamobile.com with their name and date from which they will no longer be in the team so we can remove them from your team, and ensure no patients are left unattended under their name on the Platform.

Mobile Device Security

Enable any additional security features available to you on your Mobile Device including Mobile Device access pin codes, access patterns or facial recognition features. Keep the Operating System software of your Mobile Device up to date in order to ensure that the latest security patches are installed to protect your device.

Workstation Security

If you are utilising the Vula Web Platform, please ensure you either log out of the Web Platform when you are not using it, or lock your workstation when it is not in use in order to ensure the information in the Vula Platform is not accessed by unauthorised individuals.

Malware and Phishing

In order to increase the security of your Vula Account and protect it from interruption caused to it by phishing, spoofing or other attack, computer viruses, spyware, scareware, Trojan horses, worms or other malware that may affect your computer or other devices, Vula recommends that you regularly use reputable virus screening and prevention software and remain alert to the fact that SMS, email services and search engines are vulnerable to spoofing and phishing attacks.

Communication Security

Keep your contact details in the Vula Platform up to date so that you can receive any notices or alerts we may send to you in relation to security. Maintain security and control over the email mailbox and phone number associated with your Vula Account.

Vula will never call, email or SMS/instant message you and ask you for your password. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from Vula and asks you for this information, you should end communication and get in touch with us yourself by emailing support@vulamobile.com

Devices that have been compromised should not be used to access the Vula Platform. Please notify us as soon as possible should you suspect any of your devices have been compromised, if your device has been lost or stolen, or you should suspect your Vula Account has been accessed by any unauthorised persons so we can reset your Vula Account password.
